So teas and coffees did the trick!

It was a great journey - we met some lovely people and visited some fab places but nothing beats home. Needless to say we are looking forward to a warm shower, some good grub (only so many salads we can eat!) and our own beds!

Finally we would like to thank everyone that has found the time to read this blog - knowing that people are supporting us helped make the trip!
We completed our journey on target by finishing the trip at the Marie Curie hospice in Edinburgh! We made a weary trio as we arrived but it was great to meet some of our family and have a nice cup of coffee and cake kindly laid on by the hospice. We were also warmly greeted by Fiona Bushby, Marie Curie fundraising Manager, and Fiona Leitch, Macmillan fundraising manager who are pictured here.

Since leaving Norfolk we have headed up the coast passing Filey and Scarborough amongst many other well known coastal towns. We made it to Newcastle at about 9.15pm so another long day - but it's our last night before home tomorrow!

We've all enjoyed the trip - and we are still talking to each other - but we are looking forward to completing the challenge and getting home to our families. We are feeling physically OK but getting a little tired - unsurprisingly!

He is the inspiration for this trip and we took a few minutes out of riding to remember him and reflect on the journey. I'm really pleased we have achieved everything so far that we had set out to do, making our destinations each evening and meeting some fantastic people along the way. I just wish Dad had put in a good word about the weather!
